RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN and CHILD CARE AVAILABLE FOR PRE-SCHOOLERS

"FRIENDSHIP AS A SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE"

"Friendship is an exercise of the purest imagination and of the rarest faith," so wrote Unitarian Henry David Thoreau. Friends are essential to a life well lived. Join us for a service that explores the deeper meaning of friendship.

- JUNE 8, 2008

"ARE ALL WELCOME?"

As Unitarian Universalists were strive to overcome prejudice, bigotry and intolerance. But sometimes that is easier to say than to do. Are we at New Hope truly welcoming to everyone who wishes to be a part of our faith community? Please join us for a candid look at what a "welcoming congregation" is all about.

- JUNE 15, 2008

ROBERT INGERSOLL, FREETHINKER ON THOMAS PAINE, PATRIOT

New Hope welcomes Mr. Terence Madden back to our pulpit. He will present a sermon on two of the most important figures in the history of American secularist dissent, Robert Ingersoll and Thomas Paine. Please join us.

-JUNE 22, 2008

A SERVICE OF APPRECIATION

During this service we will celebrate the Unitarian Universalist ceremony of "Flower Communion." In addition, the children of religious education will be recognized and will be given the opportunity to say "thank you" to the many adults who assisted in our RE program this year. (An old-fashioned Ice Cream Social will follow the service)

- JUNE 29, 2008

"THE LAST LECTURE"

Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University, is dying. In his "last lecture" at the University, he delivered a powerful talk entitled "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" - and it wasn't about dying. It was about living. Please join us as we discover Dr. Pausch's message of hope.

There will be two services in July - July 13 and July 27
